Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Awasthi began practising dentistry in 1992. He opened Chetna Dental Centre in Sector N, Aashiana, Lucknow in 2012. His professional experience spans more than three decades, while the clinic’s own history began in 2012.

The clinic has seven operatories and seven dental chairs, with six dentists, including an MDS prosthodontist, an MDS orthodontist and an MDS endodontist, and it operates its own CAD/CAM dental laboratory on site. It is ISO certified, QCI approved and NABH accredited.

The in-house laboratory is the part that changes what is clinically possible here. Most private practices in Lucknow send impressions out and wait a week per try-in, which is why complex prosthetic work either takes months or gets referred to another city. Ours is designed and milled in this building, so a shade correction happens the same afternoon and a twenty-eight-unit rehabilitation is a project rather than an impossibility.

What we believe

The practice ideology, which predates all of the equipment, is prevention is better than cure. In practical terms that means patients get told what caused the problem, not only what will fix it, and that treating a cavity early, with advice on preventing further decay, can help avoid more extensive treatment later.

Your treatment fee is confirmed after assessment, with the plan and inclusions explained in writing.

It also means we would rather lose a case than oversell one. If a tooth can be saved, we will say so. If a bridge is the right answer for your circumstances rather than an implant, we will say that too, and explain the trade-off rather than default to the larger invoice.

Mission Muskaan

Under Dr. Sanjeev Awasthi's direction the clinic runs Mission Muskaan, a programme of free dental camps for underprivileged children across Lucknow. It has run for years without a press release, and it is probably the part of the practice we are most attached to.
